Do you ever feel like you’re facing a raging sea? On the other side is what seems to be calm, happiness & the dreams you wish for. The struggle & pain makes it hard to see what is on the other side, beyond the waves. Now imagine if we know that redemption is just beyond, on the other side. It definitely helps us find the courage to stay focused on the goal.

When the Jews left Egypt in this week’s Torah portion, they came to a standstill with the sea ahead and the Egyptian army chasing close behind. They could not imagine things getting better. Having been slaves for hundreds of years, it seemed so unlikely that their redemption was so close. But then the brave Nachshon with faith so strong leaped into the ocean & miraculously the Sea split, opening the way to freedom.

Right now it’s hard to see that redemption is so close when all we see is dark. Finding meaning through a difficult time, Lets be a light.
